Finland 2012 - General information


Venue

The seminar will take place at the Congress Wing of the Finlandia Hall, Mannerheimintie 13e in central Helsinki from 8:15 to 16:45 on Tuesday October 30th.  Finlandia Hall was designed by Alvar Aalto and is Helsinki's leading concert and congress center.

To and from the airport

Helsinki’s Vantaa Airport is 17 km north of central Helsinki and easily reached by public transport.

     By taxi
A taxi journey from the airport to the centre of Helsinki takes approximately 30 minutes and costs about 45-50€.
     By bus
Finnair runs a bus service (Finnair City Bus) linking Vantaa airport and the Central Railway Station. Average travel time is 30 minutes. The price for a one-way ticket is 6,20€.

Accommodation

Because central Helsinki is very small, you will most likely be within walking distance of Finlandia Hall and the Central Station wherever you stay. The Central Railway Station is approximately 1 km away from Finlandia Hall. Below we offer a few hotel suggestions, but you are free to choose your own hotel.
